Pet visits are suited to a pet that is normally by themselves for the large part of the day and copes well in that situation. A pet would be visited once or twice a day, and it is recommended in the care of a dog, that a half-hour walk is included in an hour visit am as well as feeding etc.
The pm visit is to check on your pet, feed, change the water and spend some time to talk and give affection to your pet.
We can, if required, make a 3rd visit (in the case of puppies or an anxious dog).
Tracy’s has been in the Pet Minding business in Adelaide for 12 years, and we are well regarded as a pet business that offers a high standard of care.
Call us now on 0438 853 238 or fill out the Contact Form on this website. We can discuss your pet’s individual needs and requirements and make a time for a no-obligation free consultation. We are willing to adapt our care to suit your pet.
Pet visits allow us to do some extra duties for you
Visiting your pet gives us the opportunity to bring in the mail and/or newspaper, put out the bins on the designated days, water pot plants and/or part of your garden, and in the case of a pet dog, clean up any dog poop in the yard.
No obligation free consultation
A consultation that is convenient for you, will be arranged before care to discuss in more detail your pet’s needs. In this visit, we meet you and your pet, and complete a Booking Form with the relevant information. This info is required to care for your pet, such as what food and how much, and if any treats are to be given etc.
Regular texts or emails sent through
We will text or email you on the 1st day of care, then as often as you wish us to contact. We will send photos of your pet as well. This is very reassuring when you are away from your pet.
Vet details and medical history recorded
While we are at the consultation, we will record on the Booking Form the details of your pet’s Medical History and your Vet Details.
In the event that your pet becomes ill or injured (this is very rare), we will contact you and take your pet to your Vet if an emergency. If it is after hours, we will take your pet to an Emergency Vet Practice.
Medicine can be given to your Pet (if required)
If you advise us that medicine needs to be given to your pet (will be recorded on Booking Form), we will do that for you.
All pet carers love pets and have police clearances
All of our Pet Carers love animals and are very trustworthy. They have been carefully screened when becoming a Pet Carer with us, and have Public Liability Insurance too.
Extremely hot weather
We can switch the air conditioning on if your pet is kept inside (and as instructed by you). If your pet is outside because they are not allowed inside, we can cool your dog down with a hose and ensure they have a large container of fresh, cool water.
Ice blocks with some beef or chicken stock with water is good for an outside dog to cool down too. These can be kept in the freezer in case of extreme or prolonged hot weather.
Of course we will be in contact with you regularly and let you know of our concerns for your pet.

Dog visits
Dog Visits suit a pet that is used to being on their own for a reasonably long period of time. It is recommended that a dog have an hour visit and aim to include a half hour walk in their care. There can be 2 visits per day – am and pm.
The pm visit, lasting at least 20 minutes, would be for feeding your pet, checking their water, and spending time with your pet, as well as showing them some affection.
Contact us if you have any queries or to book a time for a free no obligation consultation on 0438 853 238 or complete the Contact Section of this website.
Dog visits allows us to do other tasks for you
While visiting your pet, we can also:
- Collect mail/newspapers
- Water pot plants
- Put out bins and bring in.
- If your pet is inside at night, we can shut curtains and leave a light on overnight and let your dog outside in the daytime (if you need us to)
(Please see Pet Visits section for other details regarding Dog Visits)
Cat visits
Cat Visits are great for cats. The majority of cats are happy to be visited once or twice a day. Usually there is an AM and PM feed, a check of their litter tray, water change, and of course we give them lots of attention and affection. If your pet needs more contact time, Cat Sitting in your home overnight is suggested.
Please call us on 0438 853 238 if you wish to discuss your cat visit options and make a time for a no obligation free consultation. Alternatively, please complete the Contact Form on this website.
